Welcome to Jewell Arts. A collaboration of 2 practicing artists, married couple Simon and Rebecca Jewell who live and work on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Although their work practices are very different they both take their inspiration from the environment where they live.

Rebecca Jewell is a contemporary botanical artist mostly painting in acrylic. “I love gardening and have a real passion for the flowers I paint. I always work from photographs, so composing the shot and playing with light is a very important part of the process including the use of glass jars and bottles which form part of the work, or just paint the pure beauty of each flower”.

Simon Jewell is a contemporary landscape and seascape artist who paints in oils. “I find the Lizard Peninsula and the coastline that surrounds it a constant source of inspiration. There is nowhere to run and hide here so you just have to embrace the elements. My aim is to capture the untamed seas and the large open vistas of Goonhilly Downs”.
